The objective of this course is to provide On-Highway technicians with information regarding the changes in the operation, control, maintenance and repair on the 07 engine.

 

 

Overview

2007 Product Update: Covers all three products. Includes components and systems review, advance use of Drumroll and DDEC VI, hand on diagnostics exercises, after treatment system review and troubleshooting exercises.

 

Length of Course

This 4-day course begins at 8:00 am and ends at

4:00 pm each day.

 

Prerequisites

• 04 Certified on either engine

• Series 60, MBE 900 or 4000

DDEC III/IV/V On-Highway Electronics Course Code-DDC8880

This course will expose technicians to the skills necessary to recognize DDEC electronic components, wiring, and basic electricity, including DDEC IV/V EGR system components. Lecture and hands-on troubleshooting will be performed in class and on fully operational Series 60 EGR engines using the DDDL, DDR, and Troubleshooting manuals.

 

Length of Course

This 4-day course begins at 8:00 am and ends at

4:00 pm each day.

 

Prerequisites

Basic engine technician's knowledge and ability to

use hand tools, or basic D.C. electronics.

SERIES 60 Major Repair Course Code-DDC8893  

Objective:
Register Here

Enable service personnel to troubleshoot and diagnose engine problems, disassemble and reassemble engines correctly, repair and overhaul engine components and perform preventive maintenance and tuneups.

 

Overview

Program includes both classroom lectures and practical hands-on exercise. Students disassemble live engines and an in-depth study is made of the following: general construction and operation principles; fuel, air, lube and cooling systems; governors and other fuel control devices; overhaul procedures; tune-up and troubleshooting. After all components are reassembled, the engine is tuned and checked out for satisfactory performance.

 

Length of Course

This 5-day course begins at 8:00 am and ends at

4:00 pm each day.

 

Prerequisites

Basic engine technician's knowledge and ability to
